Wedding + Elopement FAQ
- Do you travel for weddings?
- Yes! I travel all over the United States and worldwide for weddings. Travel is always included in all of my packages, so you will never have any surprise costs at the end of the day. I absolutely love exploring new places and spaces, so that is why all of my wedding and elopement packages include any travel costs. I never want there to be any surprises at the end of the day for you.
- How far out should I book my wedding?
- I recommend couples book 12 months out from their wedding date, more if possible. However, I have booked elopements with only a few weeks of notice, so last minute is possible! A big benefit of booking your wedding a little bit further out is payment options. I offer probably the most flexible payment options you will find and they never, ever incur an additional fee or interest. So, for example, if a couple books a package at $4000 and they are 16 months from their wedding they could split that up into monthly payments of $250.
- How many hours of coverage do you think I need?
- In the two decades I have photographed weddings I have found that 6-8 hours is perfect for smaller/more intimate weddings and 8-10 hours is great for larger weddings. While this isn’t always true, I think it works out 90% of the time. However, every wedding day is unique, though, so I am happy to take a look at your plans and help you figure out exactly what would work best for you.
- Will there be any extra charges?
- Never. My packages include any travel, taxes, or incidentals.
- Do you have insurance?
- Absolutely. Several kinds. Most venues will not allow photographers (or any other wedding professional) walk through the door without it.
- How many weddings have you photographed?
- I have photographed hundreds of weddings over the last two decades all over the United States.
- Can I see the full gallery of a wedding you have shot?
- Absolutely, I’d be happy to! Let me know what kind of wedding you are planning so I can show you the most relevant gallery.
